The way in which human soul arises and continues to exist

Abstract
The way of human soul’s arising, its mode of existence and its relation to human body have been studied in this paper. Aristotle when dealing with appearance of soul has known it to be originally corporeal; though in some cases there can be found a room for the alternative view. Avicenna, however, has known it to be originally incorporeal and Sadra corporeal. The philosophers have emphasized on the unity of human soul, while their ideas on the meaning of unity can not be the same.
Another part of the problem includes the way in which the soul interact the body. In this respect, Aristotle has different words in the field. The form of body, the origin of life and the cause of human being are different words used by him here. Avicenna has viewed human soul to be prudent of body; in his view, the soul is originally separated from the body and the latter only a ground for the former. However, for Sadra, the soul has been known as a higher stage or grade of the body. Both, therefore, are two degrees of the same thing.
