Abstract
The form of human dumbness towards God is common in the sacred literature of Abrahamic religions, including Islam, and it is also seen in Persian literature. The problem is that despite this commonality, ideas and as a result different patterns of culture and ritual, family, politics and ownership have been formed and evolved among the followers of these religions.which is caused by the different old and new interpretations of this creative relationship between man and God, followed by fundamental issues such as the relationship between Adam and Eve, descent, the life of men and women, and individuals and groups on the earth/world, etc. Especially, the idea of appearance has been the basis of fundamental Equality or inequality and among other political developments. While referring to this common literature of religions, this article deals with a case study of John Locke's thought, how he tried to depict the idea of fundamental equality of human beings with theological debates based on dumbness and provide a theological foundation for a political order based on consent. The descriptive and interpretive method of the article uses Reinhardt Kozelek's theory of conceptual history and Jeremy Waldron's literature as a theoretical framework. This research shows that contrary to the idea of some secularists, the most important founders of political modernization were not without theology. Also, the affinity of Abrahamic religions provides the possibility of transferring epistemological and methodological experiences between them. This article can provide an opportunity for comparative and critical studies to investigate why there is a difference in theological and political interpretations among the thinkers of Abrahamic religions despite sharing such ideas.
