Natural disposition is a main anthropological topic that has long been emphasized by various thinkers. Nonetheless, the views of these thinkers have not been similar. Some of them have offered standpoints in which the human natural disposition has had more limited boundaries. Under the effect of these views, the boundaries of human natural disposition are nowadays reduced to the immediate perceptions, intuitive cognition, physical faculties, or even instincts. Reduction of natural disposition to the immediate perceptions leads to a rejection of the primordial disposition for the sake of the secondary disposition. Adoption of the natural disposition as intuitive cognition leads to an additional reduction of the boundaries of the former, so that even immediate perceptions are not counted as the dimensions of natural disposition. The next two interpretations of the natural disposition limit it to the realms of physical faculties or human instincts, where the former view rejects any type of actual dispositional perception even after human birth. In this viewpoint, all human perceptions are considered acquired. Under the effects of the Evolution theory, the last viewpoint examined here limits the human natural disposition to instinctive, vital, or sensual faculties. However, based on the Islamic stance, none of these viewpoints have given in a true portrayal of human natural disposition. The reason is that in the Islamic view, human natural disposition entails different dimensions and the primordial disposition, immediate perceptions, and the dispositional faculties (with their different aspects) are part of the natural human disposition.
