Although the duality of soul and body was established by philosophers before Sadra and still remains in the minds of the general public, the solid foundations that Sadra left in his psychology have forced almost all philosophers of the present era to deny this duality; however, a kind of dualism is still observed. It seems that Mulla Sadra's famous view, namely the union of soul and body, is a justified view in describing their relationship; however, the final view of Sadra al-Mutuallihin in ontology, namely the theory of the personal unity of existence, requires that we justify and interpret all issues of transcendental wisdom, including the issue of the soul and issues related to it, based on this view, which is considered one of the innovations of the present article in terms of approach. In this article, the relationship between the soul and the body in the eyes of Islamic philosophers is divided into two general categories: dualism and monism. Then, in the monism perspective, which refers to the perspective of the followers of transcendental wisdom, the views are categorized into two groups: those who advocate the "unity of the soul and the body" and those who advocate the "oneness of the soul and the body." The contents of the last section show that there is abundant evidence that the monistic perspective is justified. The content innovations of the article, which are considered to be the content representation of the relationship between the soul and the body based on the monistic perspective, include: 1) Constructing the oneness of the soul and the body based on the definition of the body as an act of the soul itself; 2) Determining a norm for recognizing the real body as an object for the soul to be ruled over by analyzing the concept of ruling; 3) Presenting a ruling interpretation of the oneness of the soul and the body from the perspective of the oneness of the body's state of being body with the ruling function of the soul; 4) Presenting an anti-materialistic interpretation of the oneness of the soul and the body based on the theory of the physicality of the soul and the analytical duality between matter and form.
